The Island is a movie staring Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. They star as clones that are part of an “insurance policy” that includes exact copies of the people who took out the policies. These clones are then used for spare body parts.

I was pleasently suprised on how good the movie was. It was fast paced, smart, and best of all not cheesy. The acting by both the main and supporting characters was excellent, and the director used special effects to tell the story, rather than rely on them.

All of that said the end of the movie was rather long. I think that they could of wrapped it up faster, and then when they did end the movie I felt that they should of added something more. Sure it sounds funny, but go and watch the movie and you will understand what I mean.

On the whole I give this movie a thumbs up, and worth the money spent to see it in the theatre

I just finished watching “Being John Malkovich” for the first time in a very long time. And I must say it is a very messed up movie. If you don’t like movies that make you think, and open you mind, stay away.

Another thing about this movie is that it is hard to get your mind around how these people can be the way they are. Maybe it is just that I have not been around that many different types of people so that I can relate to this movie’s characters.

All in all I think that it is a movie that is worth renting. I will tell you more later
