The Island
Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005The Island is a movie staring Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson. They star as clones that are part of an “insurance policy” that includes exact copies of the people who took out the policies. These clones are then used for spare body parts.
I was pleasently suprised on how good the movie was. It was fast paced, smart, and best of all not cheesy. The acting by both the main and supporting characters was excellent, and the director used special effects to tell the story, rather than rely on them.
All of that said the end of the movie was rather long. I think that they could of wrapped it up faster, and then when they did end the movie I felt that they should of added something more. Sure it sounds funny, but go and watch the movie and you will understand what I mean.
On the whole I give this movie a thumbs up, and worth the money spent to see it in the theatre
