My Head Hurts
So after an extremely long day of work (13hrs+) I get in today and heard something awesome. It seems that the layout of the store that I am working on has changed, and I am expected to reflect said changes on my plans. However the architects have decided not to show the changes on their plans till after the client comes in for a meeting on AUG 26. Mind you that these are only minor changes that will not take too long to do for anyone involved, however I wasn’t even officially told. I heard this all through the Mechanical Designer, because that is what she was told to do!! Now the way things normally work is that I will look at the floor plan and run everything that needs to be powered based on that. That is how this industry works, the Mechanical guys do the same thing. However the only reason the question cam eup is that the Mechanical designer was looking for information and was reading the clients comments to the architects and noticed the change……. Now shouldn’t they change it? I don’t know, maybe I am just being crazy….
Another thing is this, why would you send an email to someone telling them that they did something wrong and CC evreyone else in the office? Now that is not really the part that bothered me, I do have fairly thick skin. However the change toook 30secs and it was NOT discipline specfic, it was simple a file name that was not in the right form, but to write the email MUST have taken at least 2 mins even if you write at 40 words a minute, and she is a 2 finger typer so we know that it took longer than that.
But anywat, she should be leaving in the near future, moving to New York to marry someone that her parents found for her. I can’t say that I will miss her.
